How to be a great fitness friend ?











Another working week is over and that means that your Fitness friend Gym Friday. This week, I had the opportunity to interview a Brian Johnson.



I met Brian on Facebook with the team of Walt Disney World Radio. I joined the team during training for the Wine & Dine half marathon last year and Brian was one of the first members to welcome me.Fitness and friend  He is always willing to give advice and help other drivers, however he can fitness friend.

When fitness friend the road to good starts and why did you start your trip?

I started running and work with a focus in December 2009. I woke up one day and realized that at 235 pounds, about 75 kilos overweight, was in a real risk of death ... and at any time. So I got no value and do something about it. Even though I went to college to study the movement and sports science, I let go after college and was in a terrible state. Since that day in December 2009, I lost 55 pounds and ran seven marathons and half marathons  fitness friend , 16 two roads and the street turns into two categories Fitness and friend .

What is your favorite exercise and how often you train type?

I love running and I recently did Insanity DVD series at home.fitness friend Insanity is for real people. If you can go through the warm-up in one of these videos,fitness friend you have a good level of fitness.
I workout at least 5 days a week, but like to hit 6-7 days a week when I'm focused on a goal. Do not get me wrong, I'm not going "all out" for each workout, but I have something inside and then also have a day of rest, if any, or I feel like I need to.

What are related accomplishments are you most proud gym Fitness and friend ?

I'm very proud fitness friend of losing 55 pounds and maintaining efforts to reach my ideal weight and still cross train performance and add different types of exercise. Finished second Goofy Challenge in 2011 and then do it again (unofficial) last January. See my blog on how Goofy Challenge ended in 2013 with the intention to do so.

What are your some of your goals for this year? fitness friend

My goals for this year are to get quickly fall below the 5 hours of full-time marathon.fitness friend  I want to reach my ideal weight of 170 pounds before the Disney Marathon in January 2014. Note that these two Fitness and friend  objectives are interrelated.

How do you spend your fitness friend  free time when not working?

I love traveling, even including day trips to take around Indiana wineries. fitness friend  Interestingly,Fitness and friend  Indiana 90 + wineries and I've tried several of them!

What advice would you give to someone starting your golf club fitness friend?

 fitness friend Take your time and give yourself time to adapt to training. It takes months, not weeks for your tendons, ligaments and muscles to adapt to the work done.Fitness and friend  My knees hurt (not hurt) in the first year I lost weight slowly and adapt to the job function, among others. It takes time. Now, my knees feel good, even after a marathon and I have no back pain as I did when I weighed 235 pounds. Again, go slowly and enjoy your workouts!
